Men’s shoe trends 2011 – Jimmy Choo to launch men’s shoe collection 2011, Latest mens style shoes 2011: Tamara Mellon is expanding her luxury accessories empire with a desirable range of footwear for men.Men across the world wondering what all the fuss regarding their wife’s/ girlfriend’s/ sister’s affection for Jimmy Choo shoes is about will soon be able to find out for themselves, as the luxury shoe, handbag and women’s fragrance label announces a debut shoe collection for men.
Launching for the autumn/winter 2011 season, a sneak preview of the collection reveals something for every modern man: from chunky, black leather biker boots (a sell-out success over in the women’s department) to classic, leather loafers and on-trend Chelsea boots.
The collection also includes high-top cashmere trainers, which will be available in animal prints such as leopard and zebra; and for the man who has everything, a pair of gentleman’s ‘evening slippers’, available in a velvet jacquard ‘Porno Paisley’ print, or for those with a sense of humour, in black glittery fabric.
“My vision of the Jimmy Choo man is one who exudes confidence and style whether he is an artist or an investment banker” says Tamara Mellon , founder and chief creative officer of the brand. “The first thing I look at on a man is his shoes” she reveals.
The hugely successful Jimmy Choo women’s collaboration with Hunter wellies – which comprised a black, moc-croc effect and proved popular with celebrities at music festivals – will also be extended to men looking to upgrade from standard-issue rubber boots.
Gentlemen with feet sized from a European 39 to 46 will be able to launch their Choo addiction from July, when the styles will be available to order online. Prices start at £395.
